Technical Advisory Conference
July 23-26, 2007
|
 |
|
|
A record 85 people came to this summer's meeting to
interact with and learn from biofilm experts.
Of these attendees, 68 represented 41 individual companies; 10
attendees were from 7 different colleges/universities, and 4 were from government
agencies.
Twenty-three Industrial Associate companies and 20 visiting
companies were represented. We asked our industrial members if the
large attendance at the meeting had any negative impact. The emphatic
answer was "Not at all! The large attendance simply validates the value of your
program." |
Session Topics
Biofilm Behavior and Control
Biofilm Methods
Biofilm in Water Venues
Fungal Biofilms
Microscopy
Wound Biofilms

Invited Speakers
Each speaker was invited to share his/her expertise relating to
session topics (see above). Professionals came from a variety of
affiliations (industry, university and government) and contributed to
the applied theme of the conference.

Every conference begins with a one-day workshop. This
workshop was divided into Basic and Advanced simultaneous
sessions to accommodate industry needs. Workshops are crafted each time to present new methods and
techniques developed at the Center.

POSTER SESSION & OPEN HOUSE We wanted to
give everyone the opportunity to see our labs and visit with the
students about their projects. Not only did attendees enjoy the
interaction with students, but also liked the opportunity to be in the
labs and handle the laboratory equipment described in the research
presentations.

A NEW VENUE
The Hilton Garden Inn, Bozeman, MT
Attendees enjoyed the convenience of staying at the conference
hotel - and the Hilton's staff and food were wonderful!
|
 |
Rock'n TJ Ranch The evening at the Ranch
provided a relaxed setting for a catered dinner in the comforts
of an indoor space. A large outdoor patio gave
people plenty of scenic mountain views and fresh mountain air.
