Rheometer results

Biofilm shear test on the AR1000 Rheometer. The intersection of the inflection in shear stress () with the Y-axis (solid line) indicates that the yield point was approximately 40 Nm^-2. The rapid decrease in viscosity with shear rate indicates extreme shear thinning. At a shear rate of approximately 60,000 s^-1 the viscosity () fell below that of water (indicated by the dotted line).
